Artists are invited to apply to participate in a Collagraph workshop to be held at the newly opened Prints on Paper Studio at the Assemblage Studios in Newtown.
Over two days participants will be taught how to make a Collagraph (collage print). The Collagraph will be made out of various found materials such as sand, leaves, sticks, sawdust, fabric, paper and any other semi-flat items brought from home.
The first day will be dedicated to making the collagraph plate. The second day will be dedicated to printing collographs. Each participant will print at least twice, firstly in a monochrome of their choosing and secondly using a variety of colours.

Ross Passmoor was born in Durban in 1984 and raised in Pietermaritzburg. After completing his Masters in Fine Art at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Ross taught art at St. Benedict High School in Pinetown. After two years he left teaching, in favour of a full time art career. Ross has been living and working in Johannesburg since the beginning of 2012. With a background in Sculpture, Painting and Printmaking, his work is multi-layered and textural. His subject matter often combines figurative and architectural elements to evoke an open ended narrative for the viewer.
