More about the Residents and Talks:
Photographer Nombuso Kosazana will be talking on the topics of photography as an image and as a way of storytelling and questioning the relationship between the photographer and subject.
Bettina Malcomess* will be in conversation with our current resident artist Abri de Swardt regarding his exhibition SPF Matthew Barney held at the White Cubicle in London, where he presented a new video installation 'The right bodies with the wrong sounds' (2015) made in residence at Assemblage. The work imagines a conversation between Keith Collins and David Wojnarowicz, transposing the whale migration sequence in 'Fantasia 2000' (1999) to dialogue, with the voice operating as animator and orchestra. Please join us for the screening.
