Assemblage presents Impromptu, a pop-up art shop open for one day only, this Saturday 25 February 2012.
This fleeting manifestation of an art gallery will showcase and have on sale the work of Johannesburg based painters, photographers and print makers for a one day only event. The art will be displayed in a non-traditional gallery space, opening up one of Braamfontein’s most beautiful buildings to the public and letting artists temporarily take over the space. Artists exhibiting will be at the pop-up gallery during the course of the day to interact with visitors, explaining their work and answering questions.
We manifested our Impromptu pop up shops three times between the end of February and March 2012.
