Prints on Paper is situated in the Assemblage Studios located at 1 Marshall St, Ferreirarsdorp, Johannesburg and offers printmaking facilities to local artists. The space is an open access print workshop focusing on silkscreen and traditional printmaking techniques including linocut, drypoint, monotype and woodcut. Prints on Paper allows artists access to much needed printing equipment, runs ongoing workshops and produces collaborative artworks, portfolios and exhibitions.
Bucking the normative white cube, Priest comes to you as a hybridized, off kilter and progressive gallery run by artists for artists. Whilst the zeitgeist leans ever more into the tainted touch of commercialism and consumption Priest desires more nuance, deviation, experiment and serious play, the virtues of art as we understand it. • Concept • Collaboration • Process • Exhibitions • Performance • Intervention • exchange • Presentation/conversation • Site specific/ non-specific and installation. We are open for propositions and proposals…
